Sylvia Dobrauc

Sylvia Irene Dobrauc passed away in her Yakima home on September 12, 2018. She was born in Grandview, Washington on July 20, 1928, to Frank and Mary Kinkade. She married Fred Dobrauc in June of 1948 and spent 50 years together until his passing in 1998. They had two sons together, Ron and John Dobrauc. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends, playing cards, games and puzzles. She and Fred loved camping, fishing, and taking their RV to the mountains and beaches. Sylvia is survived by her children, Ron (Mimi) Dobrauc, and John (Vicki) Dobrauc; grandchildren, Pamela and Kristy Dobrauc, and a great grandchild, Kody B. Dobrauc. She is proceded in death by her loving husband, Fred and her brothers and sisters, Alva, Ellen, Katie, Mabel, Harry and Nancy. A special Thank you to the Brookdale Chesterly Family and Heartlinks Hospice who took care of Sylvia with love, warmth and generosity. Sylvia had a quick smile for everyone and will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Services will be held at the Valley Hills Chapel in Sunnyside, on Tuesday, September 18th. A viewing will start at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11. She will be laid to rest at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens at Noon in Sunnyside, Washington.
