Roberta (Bert) F. Goldade, 91 years of age was born December 7, 1929, in Geneva, Nebraska, and peacefully passed away on January 27, 2021. The parents were Ed and Norma Krause. Bert married Dick Dragoo on July 27, 1946, in Washington, Kansas. They then moved from Nebraska to Buena, Washington, working in the fruit industry. They had four children. Bert raised her children and was involved with their activities growing up. Bert then went to work for Old National Bank in Grandview as a bank teller and retired from US Bank several years later.
Bert married James Goldade in April 1982. They made their home in Grandview and enjoyed playing cards with friends and taking weekend trips. Mom was involved with the Grandview Church of the Nazarene. She coordinated the Hospitality Ministry preparing meals for the Grape Society, Peer Helper Groups, Wednesday night dinners, and special events. Mom enjoyed her Bible Study groups and was a regular worshiper. Bert influenced a lot of people with her faith. She always had a smile on her face and time to sit and talk. A high light for Mom was going to Grenada in 1988 to build houses with the church. After her retirement, Mom enjoyed flowers in her yard, baking pies, and giving words of wisdom to her family.
Mother leaves a legacy of love to be cherished forever, for God made our Mother special. To her children and grandchildren she is the “best”, for, in the shelter of her love, our lives were truly blessed.
Bert is survived by her children; Linda, Ron (Shellie), Randy (Cindy), (Rob), Jan, Ron (Nancy); Grandchildren: Rick, Becky, Chase, Libby, Kortnie, Clayton, Collin, Chad, Casey, Lisa, Jennifer, Jeff, Sonya, Chris; 31 great-grandchildren; and sister Ramona. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, sister Roma, daughter, Connie, daughter-in-law, Glenna, granddaughter Makinsie, and one great-granddaughter Audrea.
