Patricia Ann Benjert, 75 went home to be with the God she loved so much on September 12th, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Patricia was born September 2, 1940 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Warren and Virginia Miller. She moved with her family from Klamath Falls to Sunnyside WA when she was 3 years old. She graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1957 and Central Washington College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1962. She began her teaching career and taught second grade until starting a family. She met the love of her life, John and the two were married on September 3, 1965. Twin daughters, Janice and Jeanette were born in March 1968 and another daughter, Julie was born in September 1971. She was devoted to her family and was the center of their world.
John and Patricia raised their family on the family farm until John’s death in 1996. Patricia was a devoted member of Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved her beloved Seahawks, Mariners, and attending all of her grandkids many activities, she was always their number one fan. She loved to read, spending quiet moments in her backyard and reading her daily devotions.
Patricia is survived by her three daughters, Janice (Glen) DeVries , Jeanette(David) Lundeen, and Julie (Mike) McGowan , her five grandchildren, Mikayla (19), Benjamin (16), Nathan (14), Jake (11), and Samantha (11), and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; Warren and Virginia Miller, her husband John and brother Dr. Dale Miller. Patricia touched many lives with her selfless attitude and loving spirit. Even thru all of her hardships Patricia continued to put her family and friends first.

Viewing and visitation will be held 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Grace Brethren Church in Sunnyside with private graveside services to be held at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Patricia Benjert memorial fund at Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church in Sunnyside. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in care of all arrangements.
