Daniel Palacios

Daniel Palacios, 68, of Yakima WA left us unexpectedly on February 16, 2016. He grew up in McAllen, TX until 1962 when his family moved to Sunnyside WA where he met the love of his life Maggie (Martinez). The two where married in 1968 and made their home in the Lower Valley with the addition of their daughter. They moved to Yakima in 2004 and have been there ever since. Danny worked at the Cow Palace/Dolsen Company for 25 years and later worked for Wray's Food and Drug until his last days. Danny enjoyed keeping his cars clean while listening to Tejano music and doing home improvments, barbecuing, and working on his yard but most importantly spending time with his family. He and his wife frequently traveled to Texas to visit his grandchildren. Danny made friends everywhere he went and was known by all as a genuinely happy person. Danny is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Rhonda, son-in-law Jesse, 3 grandchildren: Jesse, Julia, and Zacharias which where his pride and joy. As well as 4 brothers: Jose (Mary), Arturo (Frances), Hector (Vickie), Cesar (Lula), and one sister Hortencia (Jr). Not to mention the numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He will be forever missed. Visitation will be held 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday February 23, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside followed by graveside services at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
