Angela M. Shilow, age 52 passed away at her home Monday, July 10, 2017 in Yakima, WA. She was born August 22, 1965 in Toppenish, WA to Matthew and Gloria (Ganuelas) Shilow. Angela attended Wapato School District, then went onto graduate in 1983 from Intermountain Intertribal Indian School in Brigham City, UT. She was Intermountain Eagle and kept very involved with school activities; her most fun was being a cheerleader. She was a proud member of the Yakama Nation Tribe, worked at Camp Chapparal and became grandma to many children there. Angela moved to Misson, Oregon and worked for the Umatilla Tribe’s Board of Trustee’s. She volunteered many years for Salmon Walk held in Pendleton OR. Angela recently purchased her own home and our family was very proud of the changes she was making. She loved all her family, and friends that she met all over the country: if she could help or give advice to them she was willing to do so. Of course a Seattle Seahawks fan, Loved cruising the mountains, and all the M&M characters. Angela is survived by, her God-daughter/niece Krystal G James, and Kuthla LaTonya R. Heemsah-James; Siblings, Barbara James, Lois Sapuay, Toppenish; Joni Paul, Karen Eneas, of Union Gap; Michael (Carolyn) Shilow, of Toppenish; Randolph (Melody) James, of Wapato; Marcelle “Dixie” (Frederick) Brisbois, of White Swan; Patrick (Verna) Shilow of Wapato; cousins, Cara, Bernice and Lisa Ganualas, Lyle Brooks, and numerous uncles, aunties cousins, nephews and nieces; Brother, Anthony Shilow; Sister, Dana K Luke; and Companion Clayton Anderson Dressing services will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 10:00AM at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. To follow at the Wapato longhouse for overnight services. Burial Thursday July 13, 2017 - Leaving the Wapato Longhouse at 7:00 am at Yesmowit Cemetery in Medicine Valley.
