"Joey"

Vernon Joe McFarland III, "Joey," passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 as a result of a hit and run accident.

He was born May 5, 2000 to Victor Joe McFarland and Stacie Ann Nally.

Joey grew up and attended school in Wapato where he had many friends.

He is survived by his little brother Dylan and his big sister Alesha, who took care of him, and his dad Victor, mom Stacie and step mom Jennifer. He is also survived by his grandpa Joe, grandma Ann, his aunt Amy and his favorite cousins Andrew and Tayah. He is also survived by his uncle Larry and aunt Tracie.

Joey loved Pokemon cards, video games, Transformers and Scoobie Doo.

He had a laugh designed to make others laugh and a smile that could light up the sky. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

I was Joey's substitute teacher a few times. He was always joking and talkative, wanting to help me run the class. I will remember his smiles and laughter always. I'm so sorry for your loss and I will pray for your family. Ellen Clark
