Myrtle Jane Stoutenburg has died. She was born at home near Sulfur Springs, Texas August 3, 1913 to Lillie B. and Sam P. Jones. She married Walter M. Stoutenburg following the end of WWII. They were married for some 51 years. Daddy preceded her in death by nearly 15 years. She is survived by her son James M. Stoutenburg and numerous nieces and nephews including Del and Bonnie Stoutenburg of Yakima. Mother taught school here in Yakima for many years, she was an accomplished China painter and a dedicated genealogist. She enjoyed a long happy life. I believe her Spirit now lives in the House of the Lord although a part of her will always live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. At the request of the family there will be no service.
