Gordon William Kihn, 80, passed away at his home in Selah on Monday, September 5, 2011 with family at his side.
Gordon was born on July 12, 1931 to Paul and Clara Kihn in Saskatchewan, Canada. He married Ramona June Janshen on October 31, 1954. He retired from the Navy Sea Bees as a Chief E7 after twenty years and was a successful business owner. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with the grandchildren, especially the twins.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Clara and Paul Kihn; four brothers, Lyle, Melvin, Bruce, and Ardell Kihn; and one great grandson, Armando Esquivel.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ramona June Kihn of Selah; sons, Dale William (Laurie) Kihn of Yakima, Dennis Bruce Kihn of Portland, OR, Daniel Gordon (Peggy) Kihn of Yakima, and Dana Darrell (Tysa) Kihn of Yakima; brother, Leland (Dorothy) Kihn of Chehalis, WA; sisters, Beulah Heiser of Yakima, Marge (Ray) Brookshire of Yakima; multiple nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and reception will take place on Saturday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. at 131 S. Corriedale Rd. (Take Exit 26 and get on SR 821, then take a RIGHT on E. Pomona Rd., then a RIGHT on Corriedale Rd. It will be the first house on the left.) Casual dress is requested.
