Juan Martin De La Garza, 48, of Mattawa died Tuesday, Sept. 6. Mr. De La Garza was born in San Juan, Texas, and moved to Washington as a boy. In 1988, he moved to Mattawa and worked in the agriculture industry.
Survivors include his wife, Anabel De La Garza of Mattawa; a son, Juan De La Garza Jr., of Kennewick; two stepsons, Ruben Lucio and Anthony Lucio, both of Mattawa; two daughters, Laura De La Garza of Ephrata and Angelica De La Garza of Yakima; two brothers, Robert Davila of Texas and Hilario Davila of Toppenish; and two sisters, Margarita Vargas of Wapato and Norma Botello of Yakima.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mattawa. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Zillah City Cemetery.
