Jose Lopez Cervantes, 64, of Sunnyside died Friday, September 30.
Mr. Cervantes was born in Cueramaro, Mexico. He lived in the Lower Valley for 22 years and worked as a farm laborer.
Survivors include his father, Juan Cervantes; five brothers, Paz Cervantes, Bernardo Cervantes, Roberto Cervantes, Hilario Cervantes and Martin Cervantes; and a sister, Elena Cervantes, all of Mexico.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., at Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside. Burial will be in Mexico.
