Ruthanna Rebmen
Ruthanna Rebmen, born November 25, 1914, went to be with her Lord October 15, 2011. The daughter of Catherine and Walter Poore,

Ruthanna was born in Indiana and moved to Sunnyside, WA when she was 13. She lived in the Yakima Valley until 2008, when she moved to assisted living in Issaquah, WA.

In 1940 Ruthanna married Clio Rebmen and they made their home in Buena, WA following his return from WWII. They were blessed to have 49 years of marriage before Clio died in 1989. They served the community as Postmasters, were faithful members of the Buena First Baptist Church and were always active with their family and community. Ruthanna had a lifetime dedication to Child Evangelism. She hosted and led Good News Clubs in her home for 30+ years, welcoming children from the community to her home for love and the teaching of God’s Word. In 2001 Ruthanna received the One World, One Valley Award for her commitment to the town she loved, having served as the chairman of the town council for many years.

Ruthanna and Clio had two daughters, Nancy (Dave) Worth and Virginia (Gini & Dave) Lincicome; and four grandsons, Doug (Darci) and Jay (Liberty) Worth, Jeff (Kristi) and Greg (Mindy) Lincicome. She was blessed to know and enjoy all of her 13 great grandchildren: Gretchen, Emmett, Ethan, Hope, Mercy and Zane Worth and Lucy, Clara, Dayle, Violet, Jonathan, Megan, and Allison Lincicome.

Services to celebrate Ruthanna’s life and arrival to her heavenly home will be held Friday, October 21, 1:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home, 607 2nd Ave Zillah, WA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to your favorite organization or church that shares God’s love. Valley Hills Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. The loss of a Mom is hard. We want them with us forever. But sometimes it is time to rest. Your Mother had a good life and will be remembered with love by the whole community

Dear Gini, Nancy & Family: one of the best things that happened to me while working at Yakima County was meeting and working with your mother. She was a true inspiration and I was lucky to call her a friend. I will miss her.
With sympathy, Lisa Freund
We made our home in Harrah for many years and during that time became friends of the Rebmans. They were very special and our hearts our saddened to hear of Ruthanna's death, but we rejoice that she is safely Home with her Saviour. We recall, too, hearing of her plates of goodies taken with love to the Deputies at the Buena YSO Precinct. One of her many acts of kindness.
We make our home now in Sunnyside and our memories of Ruthanna and her friendship warm our hearts.

This will be a blast from the past, the Buena past. My best wishes come your way. To Nancy and Gini, your parents are unforgettable especially for the devotion they gave to Buena. The changes were probably hard to watch in our small community. Seeing your mother's picture and reading about her really brought back a flood of wonderful childhood memories. Your parents were there in those good ole' days.
Sincere Condolences,
Lynn Oliver Park
My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.
