Joseph Frederickson
Joseph Martin Frederickson, 75, of Selah, WA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 30, 2011.

Beloved dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend, and husband, Joe was born April 8, 1936 in Coos Bay, OR. He married Arline "Skip" Moore in 1954 and they began raising four daughters together on a little farm outside Coos Bay, OR. In 1965, Joe took a big leap of faith and moved his family north to Renton, WA during the Boeing "boom" years. In 1976, Joe and Arline moved to Selah, WA.

A farmer, a mechanic, a "Mr. Fix it," and especially a seeker of God's will, Joe was known for his perseverance and his desire to help others. Joe was a true friend and devoted dad and fun grandpa, respected and loved by many.

Those who knew him, loved him, including his wife of 54 years, Arline; his daughters Debbie Frederickson, Diane (and Rick) McArdel, Sue (and Allan) Allen, and Carla (and Steve) Phillips; his brothers Frank Frederickson and Robert Tyler, and his sister Bertha Baker; his grandchildren Jason Phillips, Ben Frederickson, Shannon, Darren, and Robin McArdel, and Jeffree Allen; and his great granddaughter Ellie Phillips.

Thank you so very much to the Kissel family who welcomed Dad into their home and took such wonderful care of him for the past 2-1/2 years, even caring for Dad while he was under hospice care and unable to care for himself during the last weeks of his life.

We know that family and friends who have already gone Home welcomed Dad with love and joy. And while the rest of us miss him, we are happy that he is now in the presence of his loving Savior, living in eternal peace and rest.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Bible Church located at 111 Old Stage Way in Gleed.
Send Condolences.
