George H. Boyle Jr., 85, of Prosser died Oct. 13 in Wichita, Kan. Mr. Boyle was born in Foley, Ala., and served in the Navy. He lived in Arizona for more than 20 years, where he worked as an explosives expert for Phelps Dodge Cooper Corp. In the mid 1970s, he moved to the Lower Valley and worked for Holtzinger Fruit as a cold storage mechanic for more than 20 years, retiring in the mid-'90s.
Survivors include five sons, George Boyle, III of Naches, Brock Boyle of Wichita, Jeff Boyle of Encino, Calif., Douglas Boyle of Thousand Palms, Calif., and Alan Boyle of Tucson, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.
