Russell Adolf
On October 3rd, 2009 a wonderful man passed away peacefully. Russ was born March 1st, 1947 to Oscar and Alma Adolf in Bismarck, N.D. In 1965 he joined the Navy. He served 2 ½ tours in Vietnam in which he received the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device. After his honorable discharge he went back to school and went into law enforcement. Later in life he went into retail and worked for Bi-Mart for 16 years before becoming the owner/operator of Adolf Distributing.

In 1969, he married Sharon Eberts and had 3 children. After 11 years they were divorced and in 1982 he met Ann Hunt with whom he shared 27 happy years. Throughout his life he has enjoyed bowling, cooking, motorcycle road trips, spending time with his children and grandkids and driving his PT Cruiser. He was the founder and president of the Yakivegas PT Cruiser Club. He also was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife Ann, two sons, Evan Adolf (Lorie) and Aaron Adolf (Candice), one daughter, Tonia Weatherwax (Tom), 8 grandchildren, Annelies, Hayden, Cody, Kaleb, Drew, Kristin, Nolan and Dreisohn, three brothers, Tim Adolf (Marsha), Ken Adolf (Irene) and Curt Adolf, in-laws, Sue O’Dell (Eugene), Ken Hunt, Pat Hunt (Yvette), Jerry Hunt (Laura) and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Adolf and mother, Alma Adolf (Weist), and brothers , Ralph Adolf and Wally Adolf.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9th at Tahoma Cemetery in the Military section.

I AM ONE OF ANN GREY ADOLF'S CHILDREN (OLDEST) AND WENT TO SCHOOL WITH KEN AND GOT TO KNOW RUSS WHEN HE WAS ON THE POLICE FORCE AND THEN MOM MARRIED OSCAR SO THEY BECAME FAMILY.
