Chuck Taylor
Chuck Taylor, 78, of Selah, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 24, 1933, to Charles and Mary Taylor in Yakima.

Chuck was raised in Tieton where he was an active member of the community. In 1948 he was selected as the best Boy Scout citizen of the Central Washington Boy Scout area council at the age of 16. He went on in Scouting to be an Eagle Scout. He was active in fruit growing and processing in Tieton and was Captain of the Tieton volunteer Fire Department. He was the Tieton town Marshall and drove truck for Associated Growers. He also owned and operated Anderson Door Company for many years.

When his family was young, they enjoyed many family outings such as motorcycling, waterskiing, camping, and clam digging; those were always fun times. Later in his life he took great pride and enjoyment in his yard. It was a masterpiece.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Alyce Crondahl of Vancouver, B.C.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Donna Taylor of Selah; sons, Randy (Mary) Taylor of Yakima, Rick (Cora) Taylor of Yakima, Scott (Jenny) Taylor of Seattle; daughter, Cindy (Jim) Blonde of Yakima; stepson, Kurt (Gwen) Bautch of Pasco; sister, Peggy Stevens of Yakima; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley Hills Funeral Home chapel in Yakima. Online condolences can be left at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
Send Condolences.
My deepest sympathies in the loss of Chuck or as my mom and dad, Florence and Marvin, always affectionately called him, "Charlie Brown." Now they are all in Heaven together probably hanging new Pearly Gates.

May God Bless you with peace and comfort in this difficult time.

Love, Elaine Anderson
