Jerriann Faye (Long, Cushing, Stone) Merkt
Such a giving, loving soul... she is now at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jerriann was born to the late Gerald A. Long and Angela Betty Robison of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on January 29th, 1959 in Yakima, Washington. She went to be with her Lord on November 8th, 2009 in Yakima, Washington in the presence of her loved ones. She is survived by her daughters Mindy Cushing (29 years of age) and Jeanna Stone (20 years of age) both of Seattle, Washington, and her husband, the love of her life, Vincent Michael Merkt of Yakima, Washington.

Jerriann graduated from East Valley High in 1977. She then went to Yakima Business College where she got her Secretarial 2 and Accounting 2 certificates. She was then employed at the Yakima Credit Bureau for 10 years.

She, along with her dearest friends, Dennis and Bobbi Day of Yakima, began a long and distinguished career at Renegade Raceways in the mid 70's, after which Jerriann and Bobbie received the "Wally" Trophy for 25 years of faithful service to the NHRA. Those years were some of the happiest of her life, surrounded by friends, family and fun. She would tell you she cherished every moment.

The things she loved the most were her walk with the Lord, her horse Patches when she was a teenager, playing softball, camping with her friends and family in the Cascade Mountains, reading fiction books, crocheting, cross stitch, singing, listening to music, visiting the Oregon Coast and 'chillin' with her beloved daughters.

Anyone who knew this fantastic woman knew that her heart was as big as her smile and her smile lit up any room she walked into. She was the kind of woman that gave and gave and gave. She was full of fire and passion, love and an amazing zest for life.

There will be a memorial service to say goodbye, and to celebrate the life and love of those who were fortunate enough to have known her, at The Franklin Hill Foursquare Church, 2612 West Nob Hill Blvd., Suite C, Yakima WA 98902, at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 21st, 2009. The building is next to Ted Brown Music at the old Montgomery Wards. CASUAL DRESS.

Donations can be made to any health facility that treats Bi-Polar Disorder or The Salvation Army Store at 9 S. 6th Ave., Yakima, WA 98902.

You will be in Our Hearts forever, Our Daughter, Our Friend, Our Mother, OUR JERRIANN.

Revelation 21:4 - And God will wipe every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. NKJV
