Sandra Lee Johnson
A Celebration of the Life of Sandra Lee Johnson will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Toppenish Calvary Bible Church, 105 Goldendale Ave. in Toppenish.

Sandy, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 5, 2011 at Yakima Regional Hospital.

Sandy was born on March 11, 1949 in Racine, Wisconsin, her home until her marriage to Charles Johnson in 1969.

Sandy followed Chuck as he worked in the Yakima Valley to Portland, Or. to Florida and even to Zerka, Jordan. Recently, she moved back to the Zillah area after the death of Chuck in June to start her life without her mate of 42 years.

Sandy was a 26 year kidney transplant survivor. Sandy was proud of the fact that she would have soon had her kidney for a longer time than her sister, Jill, had it.

Sandy started raising Nubian dairy goats in 1990 and was a member of the American Dairy Goat Association and the Central Washington Dairy Goat Association. Sandy was the founder and leader of "Dreamers and Doers" 4-H club and sponsored youth awards in the goat barn for herdsmanship and educational displays at Central Washington State Fair. Sandy was all about the kids. She was always giving baby goats to the kids to start their goat projects. She always had time to help anyone at any time with their goats. Sandy also loved her dogs and cat, Suzie, Brandy, and Scooter. Sandy and Chuck were big supporters of the Disabled American Veterans and especially the Vietnam Veterans.

Sandy was a member of River's Edge Baptist Church of Sun City Center, Florida and was attending Toppenish Calvary Bible Church since her return to the area.

Sandy is survived by her brothers, Ron Zenefski of St. Louis Park, Mn., and Dennis Zenefski of Roopville, Ga., two sisters, Pat Harper of Brookhaven, Ms., and Jill Heg of Greenfield, Wi., and two sisters-in-law Debbie Johnson and Linda (Dean) Troy of Toppenish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck and her parents, Harry and Nettie Zenefski.

The family would like to thank everyone who has supported Sandy the last few months during Chuck's illness and death and her relocation and health problems. You were all real "life savers."

A luncheon will be served at Calvary Bible Church following the service on Saturday. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship and remembrance. Sandy's favorite color was red because it was such a happy, vibrant color, so in remembrance of her joyous spirit, the family would suggest that guests wear red in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the scholarship program for the Central Washington State Fair Youth Goat Barn. Checks can be made to CWSF, c/o Nellie Tveter, 141 McPherson Lane, Selah, Wa. 98962.
Send Condolences.
