Deanna June Martin passed away on June 27, 2011, in Port Angeles, WA. Deanna was born on June 24, 1953 in Sunnyside, WA, to Carl and Shirley Whitehead. She graduated from Selah High School in 1971.
Deanna touched many lives as a loving wife, devoted friend, caring sister, and loving, nurturing mother and grandmother. Deanna spent many years as a drug and alcohol counselor and has helped many people.
Deanna is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Martin; three sisters, Virginia Greenough, Peggy (Richard) Glaubitz, and Carla (Jim) Lorton; daughter, Kelly (Charles) Loran McFarland; son- and daughter-in-law, Clark and Jeanne Loran; and four grandchildren, Brandon Nelson, Damian Loran, Macaila McFarland, and Caleb DeMartino.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lori Loran.
A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, July 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima.
I am very sorry for your loss of Deanna at such a young age. I used to work with Deanna as she helped people who suffered with addictions in Yakima. She was an awesome person and will be missed.
