Catherine (Fox) Deaton
Catherine (Fox) Deaton went to be with our Savior Jesus on June 20, 2011.

Catherine moved to Washington from Laurel, Montana when she met William V. Deaton, to whom she married in 1944. Catherine and William raised their two children Jerry and Tom, in Granger, until William passed away March 17, 1969.

Catherine worked in a Nursery school and as a clerk at the local grocery store in Crewport, WA. Catherine was an avid gardner, craftswomen who shared her talents with many. She was known for her famous apple pies, and peanut butter cookies that she enjoyed making for her kids, friends, her 6 grandkids, and 8 great grandkids.

Catherine is survived by her two sons Jerry Deaton of Sunnyside, WA, Tom (Patty) Deaton of Outlook, WA; sister, Sally (Gordon) Murray of Zillah, WA., Jeanette (Jim) Patterson of Salem, OR., and MaryLou (Jim) Ball of West Linn, OR.;two brothers, Herman (Barbara) Fox of Yakima, WA., and Richard (Terry) Hindman of Craig, AK.; and Arlene Fox of Moses Lake, WA. Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Fred Fox, and James and William Hindman.

Catherine will be laid to rest with her husband, William, 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 24 at the Zillah City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to the Granger Library. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah is in care of the arrangements.
