Sandra Ann Pina-Baeza
Sandra Ann Pina-Baeza, 49, of Fresno, California was granted her Angel Wings on July 16, 2011. She was born July 4, 1962 in Sunnyside, Washington to Pete Pina and Josephine Olivarez. In 1975 she moved to Fresno, California where she finished her education. She later moved back to the Yakima Valley and worked at China Grove in Sunnyside with her best friend Debbie, and also as a bank teller in Yakima. She loved to volunteer for different causes such as AA and was an advocate for AIDS patients. Her goal was to become a counselor for drug and alcohol abuse. Sandra was very outgoing and her heart was always open; she never met a stranger.

Sandra loved making jewelry and shopping. If there was a bargain she found it. Her great joys in life were her six grandchildren. She anticipated when they would be coming to visit and the hugs that always welcomed her.

Sandra is survived by her husband Joseph Baeza of Fresno Ca., her 3 daughters, Jennifer (Arnold Salazar) of Milwaukee, Wi., Pricilla Baeza & Stephanie Baeza of Fresno, Ca., her 2 sons, Robert (Barbara) Trevino of Seattle, Joey (Angela) of Fresno, Ca., and 6 grandchildren; her brother Richard Pina of Clovis, Ca., her 3 sisters, Norma Olivarez of Sunnyside, Genevive Pina of Fresno, Ca., and Amy Pina of Vancouver, Wa.

She is preceded in death by her father Pedro Pina, and her grandparents, Jenaro Olivarez, Natala Olivares and Jose Pina, Guadalupe Pina.

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Services will be held Saturday July 23, 2011 at 10:30 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside followed by a Christian Burial at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. I have been a close friend to Sandy since we were in grade school, it was Sandy, Debbie, Gina and myself Yoli Esqueda. She was always the one who made us laugh and she had such a good sense of humor. I have so many good memories of us and I will always be glad to have her a part of my life. Yolanda Salazar
To the family and close friends of Sandy. I am so very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Sandy for a real long time but was introduced to her from a mutual friend, Debbie Maganas. The fun times that we had together while she was living in Yakima I will cherish forever. She was such a loving person and will never forget that when she came to my house, she always wanted to know where my boys were so she could give them a big hug. I will miss you Sandy,
Love and prayers to Sandy's family and close friends. God be with you all.
