Jimmy Duane Peterson, 56, passed away at his home with family at his side on July 21, 2011. He was born on March 15, 1955, to Duane and Kathleen Peterson in Yakima, Washington.
Jimmy was married to Joanne Peterson on November 4, 1989. He worked in masonry and also as head of maintenance for the Elks Golf Club and as a volunteer firefighter for Selah. He worked numerous other jobs that he enjoyed.
Jimmy enjoyed participating in air shows with his brother-in-law. He liked horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends growing up.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Peterson, of Yakima; mother, Kathleen Peterson, of Yakima; sisters, Colleen Staley and Joreen Greene, both of Yakima; sisters-in-law, Debi Jones, of College Place, WA, and Robyn Satterlee, of Yakima; numerous nieces and nephews; his Sun Conure parrot, Bubba, and all of the very dear and close friends who have been so loyal over his long illness.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Duane Peterson and his brother, Rick Peterson.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
