Rebecca A. Wilson
Rebecca passed away January 28th, 2012 at Yakima Regional Medical Center. She was born July 16th, 1946 at home in Marshall, Arkansas to Mable McClure Garner and Boyd Quay Newton. She attended grade schools in Marshall, AK and Rodeo, CA. She also attended schools in Spokane and Toppenish, WA. She married John Miles Wilson in Spokane on June 26th, 1965. They lived in Spokane, and then moved to Belgium where John was stationed in the Air Force. Upon returning to the Yakima Valley from overseas they resided in Zillah. They divorced in 1976. Rebecca stayed in the valley near her family. She worked at Western Idaho Potato and Stadelman Fruit in Zillah. She worked at Emerald Circle Nursing Home in Wapato as a Nurse Assistant from 1987 until 2000. She then began working at the Toppenish Eagles as a Door Attendant and Custodian.

Rebecca is survived by 3 sisters, Bettie Hinchey of Harrison, AK, Carol Clark of Spokane, and Nancy Younger of Zillah. She is also survived by many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Although she never had her own children, she played a large part in raising her nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, brothers in law Marvin L. Clark and Bruce Hinchey, and nephew Marvin L Clark II. She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her.

There will be a potluck dinner in celebration of Rebecca's life at the Toppenish Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 18th, 2012 @ 1:00 pm. Rebecca's ashes will be inurned at her mother's grave at Rambo Cemetery in Searcy County, Arkansas in the springtime.
