Wanda Lee Schmidt, 80, of Yakima died Thursday. Mrs. Schmidt was born in Sapulpa, Okla., and moved from Chico, Calif., to Yakima in 1974. She worked in various fruit warehouses and canneries for many years and most recently was a caregiver.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Schmidt, Michael Schmidt and David Schmidt, all of Chico; two daughters, Cathrine Schmidt and Debra Potter, both of Yakima; a sister, Betty Humpfrey of Fruitland, Idaho; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 16 in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the burial should meet at the cemetery.
