Donna passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on January 10, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. Born December 5, 1941 in Elma, WA to Leslie and Opal Smith, Donna married Sam Gatlin on August 1, 1959. She dedicated her life and love to raising her sons Michael, Terry, Timothy, and Theodore Gatlin. Her favorite place in the world was wherever her 7 grandchildren were. She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Sam, and her brother Larry Smith. She was preceded to heaven by her brother Jack Smith and sister Judy Smith Fruehling Anderson.
A memorial service will be held at the Mountainview Christian Fellowship on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make a donation to Hospice Services at The Memorial Foundation (memfound.org or 509-576-5794).
