Nelson Fries, 52, of Yakima died Monday, January 23. Mr. Fries was born in Colorado and had lived in the Yakima area for more than 20 years. He worked as a forklift driver for Washington Fruit and held various other jobs.
Survivors include a son, Corey Fries of Spokane; and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.
A sweet, wonderful man with the heart of gold. I will cherish our moments of laughter and stories, and I will miss seeing you driving by in your forklift, always with a grin and a "hi". Until we meet again..
