On April 7, 1990 he married the love of his life, Ernestina Candanoza, and three years later they began their family. Art was a devoted husband and father and loved his family dearly.

He was a hard working man who had a passion for music and enjoyed DJ'ing, gardening, cooking, camping, Tejano music and barbequing with family and friends.

He was currently employed as a truck driver with A & B Asphalt in Benton City.
