Shirley Ann Vick, 70, of Yakima left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 2, 2012. She was born on March 25, 1941 to F. Glen Colleasure and V. Roberta Gallaway in Highfill, Arkansas.
She attended East High School in Wichita, KS and moved to Washington in the late 1960's. She retired from the State of Washington after many years of faithful service.
Shirley's favorite activities included horseback riding, gardening, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, traveling, sports, choir, church, shopping, "honey-do" lists, and practical jokes.
She was preceded in death by her father, F. Glen Colleasure, her brother, Glenn F. Colleasure, and her grandparents, Lester and Grace Gallaway.
Shirley is survived by her mother, V. Roberta Colleasure of Yakima; son, Mark A. (Brenda) Vick of Yakima; daughters, Jacqueline R. (Timothy) Hungate of Willamina, OR and Chris Vick of Selah; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. at The Cross Church, 8700 Summitview Ave. in Yakima. A potluck reception will follow immediately in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or to your local Humane Society. Online condolences can be made at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
