Elpidio Alvarez, 87, of Sunnyside died Saturday, December 10, at Sunnyside Community Hospital. Mr. Alvarez was born in La Chichihua, Michoacan, Mexico.
Survivors include a daughter, Candelaria Gonzalez of Sunnyside; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with recital of the rosary at 6 p.m., at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sunnyside. Burial will follow in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
