YAKIMA - Dixie Lee Klang, 63, of Yakima passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at home.
Dixie was born May 16, 1946 in Yakima to Donald and Adeline Cora Collins (Klang). She grew up in Selah, graduating from Selah High School in 1964. Dixie worked as a nurses' aide as Selah Convalescent and Sun Towers.
Dixie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, darts and pool. She loved riding motorcycles. For several years she was a season ticket holder at the Yakima Speedway where she enjoyed cheering for her brother, Don "Captain Crunch"#63. She was an avid pet lover. Dixie has taken her last ride to her resting place courtesy of Jack Catron in his Harley sidecar.
She is survived by her son, James Joseph Baehm of Alaska; a daughter, Corinna Baehm-Noble of Alaska; a brother, Don Klang of Yakima; a sister, Kay George of Selah; nine grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Noble, Melissa McCarthy, Donna Gillman, Chase, Merrianna, LeeAnna, Anastasia, James Jr., Rosianna, Tia and Joseph Baehm; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-nieces, Geraldine Krahn and Kaytlin George.

Dixie was our babysitter in the early 1960s. Mike was 9, Mary was 7 and Rick was 1. Oh how she loved taking care of little Ricky! We can sure see why she would have been a wonderful nurse. All our heartfelt condolences to her family. From the Buscher family, Gene, Mike, Mary and Rick
